Hairstylist Hans Henrick, started his hairdressing career as an apprentice in his native Denmark in 1989. He over time turned his great passion and curiosity for hair and photography into a freelance career working as a fashion consultant and hairdresser on various art/fashion projects, photographic/film productions, fashion shows and commercial settings. His vision with hair is to transcend the typical physical structures into identifiable silhouettes with an adequate touch of twisted classicism or eccentrism.
Hans Henrick moved to Paris in 1997 and stayed 11 years, working as hairstylist for celebrities, fashion editors, actors, models and musicians. He assisted, over a period, top hairdressers such as Alain Pichon, Adam Bryant and Vivienne Mckinder.
He has also worked with some of the professions most notable hairdressing teams (Tony and Guy, Bumble and Bumble) where he styled the hair on top models like Marianne Schröder, Lynda Byrne, May Andersen and Devon Aoki on the Parisian catwalks.
He collaborated with fashion designers, Yves Saint Laurent, Yohji Yammamoto, Balmain and magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire where he worked on several occasions with top photographer Miles Aldridge.
Today Hans Henrick spends his time as a freelance hairdresser between Aarhus and Berlin, where he does his research, develop various art, fashion and commercial projects in collaboration with fashion designers/photographers.
